Software architecture studio · Wyoming, USA

Architecture, AI, and products that hold up in production.

Cognitive Quantum is a product and engineering company founded after 17 years of shipping AI, healthcare, legal, commerce, and large-scale enterprise platforms. We design the architecture, write the software, and stay for the parts that usually get handed off.

  • National-scale systems Revenue and operations platforms built for daily load, not a demo environment.
  • Healthcare, legal, commerce Clinical documentation, practice portals, and marketplace backends that actually shipped.
  • From lab to live product Predictive research that became CogniQ — our AutoML engine in market today.

Who we are

A small senior team, not a staffing bench.

Most of our careers were spent inside demanding production environments — national-scale operations, clinical software, marketplaces, and research labs. Cognitive Quantum is the company we formed to do that work on our own terms: architecture first, delivery with the people who designed it, and products we actually operate.

We are a Wyoming LLC. Delivery is remote, senior, and hands-on. CogniQ is our public product. Everything else is commissioned work, research we can discuss, or systems we helped shape without claiming them as ours.

Services

What we are hired to do

The practice is built around architecture, full-stack product engineering, applied machine learning, commerce on Amazon and Shopify, front-end design, and the cloud / data / quality functions that keep a system honest after launch.

Software architecture

Service boundaries, data contracts, and delivery models for systems that must scale and stay operable. Java / Spring, Python, Angular, microservices, and event-driven designs — including Kafka-backed pipelines.

Full-stack product engineering

We take a product from domain model to a UI people can actually use. Interactive clinical canvases, client portals, marketplace backends, and the APIs that sit between them.

Front-end design

Visual and interaction design for production software — layout, hierarchy, and the interface itself — then implemented in Angular, React, and related stacks. Not a mock that dies in Figma; the screen that ships.

Amazon & Shopify

Marketplace and storefront work: Amazon catalog feeds, stock and price sync, multi-channel publishing, and Shopify storefronts, themes, and commerce flows that connect to the rest of the operation.

Applied AI & predictive analytics

Classification, regression, and operational ML with Scikit-learn and PyTorch. Research in health-risk scoring and policy prediction is now productized in CogniQ for tabular AutoML.

Cloud, platforms & delivery

AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, WSO2, CI/CD, and observability. Architecture is useless if it cannot be deployed, watched, and rolled forward. This is a first-class practice, not an afterthought.

Data architecture

Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server — schema design, performance, and the unglamorous work of keeping operational data trustworthy under load.

Quality engineering

Release discipline, test strategy, and QA leadership. Quality is a named function here, led by someone who ran it for national-scale systems — not a checkbox at the end of a sprint.

Achievements

Outcomes we can stand behind

Not a trophy wall. These are results from products we built, research we led, and systems we helped take to production.

Healthcare product

Operative notes in about ten minutes

VascuNote replaced a dictation-and-transcription cycle with an interactive vessel canvas. Surgeons leave with the operative report, CPT-coded charge sheet, and CMS payment estimate in the same pass.

Research → product

A lab predictor that became CogniQ

Three predictive platforms at SZABIST’s analytics lab — health-risk scoring, infant-mortality prediction, and a domain-agnostic numeric engine. That last system is now a commercial AutoML product.

Commerce

Catalogs that reach Amazon

Vendor feeds over CSV, FTP, and APIs, published out to Amazon and eBay with stock and price kept in sync. Shopify storefronts and themes sit on the same commerce practice.

End-to-end delivery

Products we built, not decks we advised

VascuNote, RocketCase, CandidTrack, taxi operations, and CogniQ were designed, written, and put into production by this team — including the front-end the user actually touches.

Scale

Systems used in daily national operations

Architecture, APIs, and delivery on revenue platforms that run every business day. We do not list those employer systems as our products; the operating scale is still the standard we build to.

Practice

Four principals, one delivery line

Architecture, AI and cloud, quality leadership, and databases — each owned by someone who has run that function for a career, not a contractor we found last week.

Selected work

What we can put our name on

Years of full-time employment produced systems we are not at liberty to list as Cognitive Quantum case studies. Those years still inform how we work. What follows is work we built as independent engagements, lab research we led, contributions we can describe without claiming the product, and the product we operate ourselves.

Our product

CogniQ

A hosted AutoML engine: upload or connect tabular data, map features, run an algorithm tournament, deploy a model, and call predictions from your own systems. Born from lab work on numeric prediction; now a commercial SaaS product.

Healthcare · delivered end to end

VascuNote

Clinical documentation platform for vascular and endovascular physicians. Surgeons document angioplasty, stenting, atherectomy, and related procedures on an interactive vessel canvas. The system writes the operative report, CPT-coded charge sheet, coding explanation, and CMS-based payment estimate — compressing documentation that used to take a dictation cycle into about ten minutes.

Legal · delivered end to end

RocketCase

Client communication portal for legal practices: case updates, document requests, and hearing reminders, synchronized with Clio. Built as a complete Spring Boot product and deployed to production — intake through document workflow, not a slide-ware integration.

Predictive health systems

At SZABIST’s Predictive Analytics Lab we designed and built three platforms: disease-risk classification for early intervention, an infant-mortality predictor from healthcare and socio-economic data, and a domain-agnostic numeric predictor. The last of these is the direct ancestor of CogniQ.

Pythonscikit-learnDjangoPostgreSQL

CandidTrack

A recruiting marketplace: employers post roles, agencies submit candidates, vendors interview and return structured feedback. Built as a complete web product for a US client — hiring workflow, not a brochure site.

Taxi operations suite

Two production systems for taxi operators: school-run account management with invoicing, and a public booking flow that calculates distance-based fares and takes payment before the ride. Practical software for a business that runs every morning, not a concept app.

Engineering contributions

On the following, we were senior contributors — not the sole authors, and not the product owners. We list them because the work is real, and because claiming the whole product would not be.

  • Multi-channel marketplace operations. Vendor onboarding, CSV/FTP/API catalog feeds, and stock/price sync out to Amazon and eBay, with Kafka-backed pipelines and Kubernetes. Contribution to an existing US e-commerce platform. Shopify storefronts and themes are part of the same commerce offering.
  • Intelligent document processing. Extraction and classification across invoices, contracts, and handwritten forms — OCR, matching, and ERP-adjacent automation. Contribution to a European IDP product.

Team

The people who actually do the work

Four principals. Combined, nearly eight decades in architecture, AI/cloud delivery, quality, and data. We hire specialists when a project needs them; we do not hide behind a logo.

Product

CogniQ lives here, and on its own site.

Cognitive Quantum is the company. CogniQ is the AutoML product — accounts, pricing, and support are on the product surface. This page is the studio. That one is the engine.
